Hello Elaine … this is Fred with a little message to brighten up your day.
I chose this story of yours for a special ‘READ-for-READ’** in order to catch up again with you … a follower I regard as ‘special’.
I recently read this article of yours in one of my Medium feeds. I enjoy your writing … its always worthy of more-than-just-a -clap
In this story of yours you mention a street game that involves knocking on doors and running away, and it brought back memories of my own boyhood days, living in an area where houses had doors facing each other across the terraced streets.
We called it simply: 'The 'Knock & Run-away Game'
I recently read a short fun-story about it:
'A boy was trying to reach a high door-knocker when a passing church minister walked by and said:
"Let me help you son" ... and he knocked on door for the boy. The boy then said:
"Quick mister ... run like hell!"
Its nice to be reading you again Elaine.
Best wishes,
Fred
👍😊❤ … Very happy to be following you still
