i think I saw a similar story about 'Shrinkflation' recently that I responded to with a brief comment, so let me say it to you too:

My wife monitors the prices and sizes of supermarket items on a regular basis -and she does it automatically, so much so that for months and months now (and even more so in recently weeks) she draws my attention to it.

Shrinkflation is so real.
