Hello Ilam … this is Fred … first time call.

I just wanted to say thank you for recently choosing to follow me. I have clicked your follow button in the hope that from time-to-time I’ll be able to see and read some of your own stuff.

This story is my first read of ‘yours’, and I gave it a clap plus this comment:

'I sort-of understand your concerns re writing, resting, and looking at the number of 'reads', but surely the best advice for all writers is: "just write when you feel like it, but write good stuff". Forget about trying to please an algorithm, and concentrate on giving your would-be readers good stuff ... and of course, clapping and commenting if they send you a follow-up note. If they do this then that is the true test of your writing's worth ... not numbers!'

I hope that we can both share our writings with friends & colleagues. It's nice to share things.
