I just want to say how much I enjoyed reading this article, especially the bit where you emphasize personal experience.

Personal experience gives people a unique opportunity to not only be 'themselves', but to make what they say, more-or-less watertight from silly criticism, because ... it happened, actually happened!

I have written a series of stories under the group name: "Me and ...", whereby I describe utterly unique experiences that really happened, and are 'mine'.

It's an exhilarating feeling when you write about the real 'you'. These stories are in my 'Story Boxes', pinned at the top of my Medium page (if you have the time to check them out).

By the way, I have chosen to follow you now, Vivian, having only just 'found' you on Medium.
