“Mirror Mirror, Is This ‘Me’? … Tell me … What Do Others See?”
Are you what you think you are? What do you see in the mirror?
Have you looked at yourself in a mirror lately? Bet you have!
What do you see? Do you think that others ‘see’ the same as you, or do they perhaps see ‘the real you’?
What is the real you?
A Fun exercise:
Here’s a fun exercise to introduce you to some visual realities.
Try doing this:
Face a mirror (preferably a wall-mirror), lift up your left arm … what do you see?
The person in the mirror will hold up a right arm!
Same with any other left-right action or feature, such as ring-finger.
They will always appear (in the mirror), on the other side!
A Deeper Look:
The above, is of course all a bit of fun, but it conceals something quite serious:
People see you exactly as you are, not as you think you are.
Let’s take this thought deeper … much deeper. Imagine for a moment that you belong to a group of people who regard themselves as ‘different’ or ‘special’. Maybe you already belong to such a group.
