Yesterday (Aug 20th), was Women’s Football World Cup Final Day ... that final being between Spain & England
England were firm favorites to win amongst most expert commentators and football aficionados … with one huge exception: Houdini The Cat.
and Cuthbert [Houdini’s friend] … the one with the mirrored specs above … He believed in Houdini … as did I [Fred].
Who is Houdini?:
Houdini is a member of my extended family (my granddaughter Lucy’s cat), and Houdini was the one ‘expert’ who believed differently to most.
Prior to that world-cup-final match, indeed some three competition games earlier (before even the quarter finals of that competition), he had taken it upon himself to give advice to the Spanish coach.
He’d phoned the Spanish coach with advice after they had stumbled a bit during an earlier group game … after which they recovered, and, Houdini the cat continued to offer more advice throughout the ensuing matches.
