I am now well-established on medium (though I started only 3 years ago (at the age of 80!).

The MPP pays my membership - and not much more (something that hopeful writers need to realize. They certainly will once they start to 'earn' that way!

I appreciate your comment re 'Niche-writing'. But though it is important for some, you can also be an eclectic writer - like me.
