Thanks for this 'clarification' of GASLIGHTING.

I wondered what this term meant after seeing it in recent news articles. Now I'm a bit clearer - though I do ask the question:

Why the term 'Gaslighting'?

Being from an earlier generation I have close associations with 'lighting gas lamps' in houses of the past. Thus, the tern confuses me now!
