I like your delving further into biological changes over time, and your placental comments are intriguingly interesting. I have a special interest in the development of the mammalian placenta.
Did you know that the three types of mammals found in Australia (where I’ve lived for over 30 years) … the Monotremes; the Marsupials and the Placentals … show (between them), the development of the placenta from the yolk-sac of the egg-laying mammals, through the limited-placenta of the marsupials to the more sophisticated placenta of the placental mammals?
